This Limited Edition pin celebrates animated short, “Flowers and Trees.” Originally begun as a black and white cartoon, this Silly Symphony cartoon was finished in color at Walt Disney’s insistence. He believed color would greatly enhance animation. The first animated short in color was released on July 30, 1932. This pin features an image of Walt Disney with a scene from “Flowers and Trees.” This image is hinged with the cover in black and white. When opened, the pin reveals the same scene in full color. Glenn Winters from Disney Design Group created the artwork for this pin.
